The film starts off a bit slow, with the usual introductions as a family moves into their new home. However, once it gets going, it takes a dark and fascinating turn that keeps you hooked.

Now, in terms of horror, it doesn’t quite measure up to the modern-day scarefests. Instead, it leans towards the funny side and carries an unmistakable ’80s flair. Despite the somewhat dated look, I found it strangely enjoyable.

The acting, I must admit, is passable at best. But it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. What’s intriguing is how both people and pets, once resurrected, still bear the dirt and wounds from their untimely demise.

In the twisted world of Pet Sematary, not everyone makes it out alive. There’s a wicked twist involving the husband’s choice to resurrect his wife, and the grim consequences that follow as more souls cross the eerie threshold into the old Indian burial ground.

I’d rate it an 8/10 for its nostalgic horror value.
