Potion Permit is a casual live simulation game (with some combat) developed by MassHive Media.
Unlike most live sims, the villagers start off hating you from the very beginning! You have to earn their trust by doing tasks and healing people for them. You do this by harvesting in the wild – right outside of town (using various flowers, rocks and furs). You can fish in this game but I haven’t exactly figured this one out yet!
Potion Permit is an open-ended game – which means it can go on for forever. There are also various romances; however, unlike most live simulation games, you cannot marry. You only get to date so far. I do not know if that will change in the future.
In this game, you get to upgrade your home and various other things in your hospital area. There are various shops provided to upgrade things.
I personally didn’t like it as much as Stardew, simply because the people don’t like you as much in the beginning (which is a bit awkward!) That said, the little dog that follows you around and digs up things for you is pretty cool. It can also lead you to NPCs.
There are glitches that have come up, but the developers say they are going to fix it (and I really hope they do).
Overall, it’s a really cute game with a lot of challenges. I found it quite enjoyable!
