Old is a movie on HBO by Universal Pictures and Blinding Edge Entertainment. I watched it on HBO Max.
I thought it was super enjoyable but there were lots and lots of plot holes! The movie itself was great in theory, it just had some trouble in the execution.
The whole concept of a beach super aging people years (in just hours) was interesting. When the viewer realizes they are using the ability of the beach – to test new drugs – by tricking people to go to the beach and then aging them drastically… it’s really quite a violating concept!
Thankfully, two of the kids (who were like 11 and 7 in the beginning) managed to make it off the beach – but as much much older adults!!!
Overall, it was a decent movie with an interesting concept, just not as well done as I was expecting.
I give it a 4/10.
