Meet the Meerkats is a documentary series on Discovery Plus, and it’s absolutely adorable!
The story centers around a group of meerkats from the illegal pet trade. They had been rehabilitated and then (fortunately) released back into the wild. The journey included moments of betrayal, heartwarming moments, and some really sweet moments. I loved how it wasn’t fake at all (which I ran across before – where some series felt more fictional – rather than just following the animals).
They do show some dead animals – which was kind of sad but informative. I loved seeing the meerkat pups and just learning more about them. It was quite enjoyable!
This is one of my favorite meerkat documentaries yet!
I give it an 8/10.
