Concrete Genie is an action adventure game that I played on my Playstation 5 through Playstation Plus. It’s a pretty game, but on the shorter side… at a run time of only about eight hours.
It’s nonetheless very fun – from creating your own creatures though drawing, to painting the town itself. Basically, your paint from your magic paintbrush will take away the curses from the town. While you are doing that (and trying to take care of the creatures at the same time), there is a team of bullies that are trying to make you crazy. They often throw you in a trash can (or anywhere gross) and steal your magic paintbrush.
While I really enjoyed the creative aspect, the bullies are obnoxious and therefore some areas take longer than it’s meant to be.
Overall, it’s a great game with some fun paintings you can make – and tons of cute creatures to design!
I give it a 7/10.
