The Nun 2

A spooky sequel with familiar faces, creepy creatures, and chilling jump scares.

Genre: Horror
Platform: Watched on HBO Max

Review:

The Nun 2 picks up where the first movie left off, with Frenchie carrying the demon nun Valak inside him. Sister Irene returns, joined by a new nun companion, to face the evil lurking once again. While Valak doesn’t show up as often as in the first film, there are still some solid scares and even a creepy goat creature thrown into the mix.

It’s an interesting addition to The Conjuring universe, though it doesn’t quite hit the same high notes as the first Nun movie. The jump scares are decent, and the story wraps up with a somewhat happy ending, but it felt a bit less intense overall. And yes, if you remember the first movie — Valak’s possession of Frenchie with that disturbing tongue scene still lingers.

Overall, it’s an okay horror flick for fans of the franchise, but I’d recommend it for adults due to the spooky vibes and darker themes.

My Rating:6/10
