A suspenseful horror movie
Genre: Horror
Platform: Watched on Hulu
Review:
The Inheritance is a horror movie that kept me entertained from start to finish. The story follows a wealthy family visiting their grandfather, Charles Abernathy, who built his fortune by making a deal with a demon. Originally, the deal was for wealth and success in exchange for his life on his 75th birthday. But greed got the best of him, and he tried to bargain for immortality—at the cost of his entire bloodline. His plan almost worked, but one of his sons’ wives managed to escape while pregnant, keeping the family line alive.
This movie had some really great suspenseful moments, and even though a few of the creature effects were on the cheesy side, it still had my heart racing in anticipation. The pacing was solid, sitting right around an hour and a half, which was the perfect length—long enough to enjoy without feeling like it dragged.
Overall, a fun horror movie with a cool concept, some creepy moments, and a solid family-driven storyline. While not the scariest film out there, it’s still worth a watch for horror fans!
My Rating: 6/10
