Genre: Horror/Comedy

Review:
Massacre at Femur Creek is a horror/comedy gem that was sent to me for review, and I have to say, it’s a wickedly fun ride! The movie has a very 80s retro aesthetic, which comes through not only in the killer’s appearance but also in the overall vibe of the film. The filmmakers clearly had fun channeling that classic slasher feel, and it worked brilliantly.
One thing that really stood out was the acting. The cast does a great job of mixing horror with humor, and I was entertained the whole way through. There’s plenty of gore, as you’d expect, but the surprising amount of humor adds an extra layer of enjoyment. The retro touch extends to props too—seeing vintage old cell phones used in the movie was a fun detail that added to the charm.
At around an hour and a half, the film hits that sweet spot for length—it’s long enough to pull you into the chaos but short enough to avoid dragging on. I’m sure that once Massacre at Femur Creek is released on a streaming platform, it will do really well. It’s the perfect blend of bloody action and laugh-out-loud moments that horror/comedy fans will love.
My Rating: 8/10
If you’re a fan of 80s-style slasher films with a comedic twist, Massacre at Femur Creek will hit all the right notes. Keep an eye out for it on streaming services—it’s sure to be a bloody good time! 🔪
