Tails Noir

Title: Tails Noir
Genre: Indie Role-Playing Game
Platform: Played on PlayStation 5

Review:

Tails Noir is a unique and fascinating indie RPG that I played on my PlayStation 5, and let me tell you—it’s both fun and unexpectedly strange in the best way possible. You play as Howard Loctar, a humanoid raccoon and private investigator, who begins by taking on a seemingly straightforward case of infidelity. But as you dive deeper, the game reveals a much darker and weirder narrative involving everything from cannibalism to alien-like possession.

One of the coolest aspects of Tails Noir is that all the characters are anthropomorphic animals, ranging from mice and cats to beavers and foxes. The Soviet-era aesthetic adds a unique atmosphere that I absolutely loved, and the music paired perfectly with the setting, enhancing the overall experience.

While the game touches on some darker themes, including its eerie twists toward the end, the quirky charm is hard to miss. There were some stealth mechanics involved, and even though stealth isn’t my strong suit and caused a bit of rage, it wasn’t too unbearable. The exploration and abundance of achievements made me want to delve deeper into this world, and I’m already looking forward to replaying it to hunt for more achievements.Overall, Tails Noir is an engaging game full of quirky characters, darker moments, and a fascinating story that keeps you hooked. It’s an indie gem worth checking out if you like RPGs with a unique twist!

My Rating: 9/10
